A key client, a leading mining Private Equity fund, required a CEO for one of its portfolio companies in East Africa to lead the development and execution of the company’s long-term strategy. The near-term strategy included integrating and optimising assets post-M&A. The longer-term strategy is to develop a leading low-cost tin producer in Africa.
While the company’s HQ is in the UK, the role would require extensive time spent in-country. Our search covered a global market (targeting Executives in the junior mining space) where we identified over 65 suitable profiles. In total, 12 candidates were long-listed and 5 were shortlisted.
