A global search for a London-based CFO looking after base metals in a multi-billion dollar Private Equity Fund. The CFO is responsible for all finance, FP&A, controls, and reporting for the base metals function as well as driving the fund's asset optimisation strategy and supporting strategic initiatives.
Head of Sustainability
Based in London, these hands-on executives will report to Ignacio Bustamante, Appian’s CEO of Base Metals. Role profiles will be developed/co-authored with Appian. Broadly speaking, both will have extensive international experience and a willingness to travel regularly. Base metals experience across commodities and financial/commercial acumen is vital, in addition to functional mastery.

A global search for an Exploration Manager in Spain with an emphasis on VMS expertise and a market map and benchmarking exercise for an Exploration Manager in Portugal. Both Managers are responsible for managing the company’s exploration efforts, studies, and overall exploration strategy in the Iberian Pyrite Belt.
VP Technical
Global search for a technical mining executive with 20 years of experience in corporate development either as an advisor for a mining company or PE Fund/Bank. This person is responsible for all technical oversight of project development, funding and M&A, and due diligence evaluations on Project Economic Assessments, Pre-Feasibility Studies, and Feasibility Studies.
Mine Manager
Our client was searching for an experienced Mining Engineer adept at supervising open pit mining extractions in Europe. The ideal candidate needed to demonstrate a successful history of overseeing a similar operation, have adeptness with 3D modelling tools, and have strong leadership skills. And an in-depth understanding of Norwegian Working Environment legislation was beneficial.
