Named one of the 100 most influential people in African Mining, Nichole founded and managed Clifton Hill Associates, a global executive search and advisory firm that merged with Stratum International.

She works within the Natural resources sectors, advising clients on creating a proactive strategy around talent and leadership at an executive and board level, partnering on issues such as sustainability, diversity and governance. Nichole is keenly attuned to the ever-changing needs of these sectors and the evolving skill set required for successful placements of executive and board talent. She is a trusted advisor to her clients, having completed searches and sourced candidates in over 35 countries.

Nichole is a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion; she is the former Managing Director for Women in Mining (UK) and is a frequent speaker on issues such as governance and talent management.

Nichole is based out of Stratum’s HQ in London.

Will is a mining industry entrepreneur and experienced management consultant with a network of senior professionals from across the sector.

His contacts include Executive/Board, NED’s, functional corporate leaders and managers in operations and project development at site. He also works extensively with the mining finance community, including Private Equity firms, trading houses, funds, banks, family offices and associated mining investors including advising on deals, particularly during PE due diligence processes.

In a career spanning sixteen years, Will has delivered consultancy, executive search, mining recruitment and advisory services to a global client base spanning every continent and more than 45 countries and has helped generate significant shareholder value.

Before founding Stratum International in 2012, Will established and managed the International and Emerging Markets Mining Desk for a NASDAQ-listed executive search firm.

Christian joined Stratum International in 2024 to manage our growing Australian business.

With over two decades of expertise in the mining and Natural Resources sector, Christian has cultivated valuable partnerships with a diverse range of clients, including ASX clients, FTSE, AIM, Financial Institutions, and Private/Public Funds.

His track record includes successful Board and Senior management searches across various continents, spanning the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Australia. Christian has extensive experience strategically placing executives on mandates within challenging and political environments.

He is currently based in Australia.

Lisa brings over thirteen years’ experience of administration and business management to the role from various recruitment sectors, including Finance, IT, Change Management and Science. Her background includes compliance and management of all types of recruitment, but most notably permanent and contractor placement.

She has extensive experience supporting senior-level executive and international teams, as well as business management and operations, with an emphasis on IT, HR and General Management.

Lisa ensures a smooth running of day-to-day operations, providing the best possible service for all stakeholders, internal and external. She is responsible for all operations and HR as well as financial management and compliance, ensuring consistency with all policies and procedures within the business.

Her other experience includes project management, charity projects, business consultancy and event management.

Annelize has over 20 years of HR and Recruitment experience, including the last 15 years in mining. She started her career as a Management & Development Consultant and became an Assessments and Psychometrics expert. She then commenced a career in recruitment with companies including Daimler-Chrysler and Vodacom.

She has extensive mining recruitment consultancy experience and has also worked in the EPCM space with Fluor’s TRS Staffing. Over the last 15 years, she has developed extensive networks in the mining industry at a senior level, focused on hiring for key business-critical mining leadership roles (including site/asset-based technical and commercial management roles) across the globe.

Annelize is based in South Africa.

Palesa holds a double bachelor’s degree in Organisational Psychology and Media & Communication, from the University of Cape Town.

Passionate about sustainable business strategy, people, and data, she is poised to make significant contributions to Stratum International. Palesa is committed to collaboration as she eagerly engages with colleagues on client projects spanning the AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions across junior, mid-tier, and major mining companies.

She advocates for youth professional development and is dedicated to weaving purpose and passion into her career path, aspiring to achieve a positive impact in every professional pursuit.

Palesa is based at our Cape Town Office.

Frances brings extensive expertise from her career as a research professional, with experience spanning the Asset Management, Mining, and Energy sectors. Her role at Stratum International is to drive our Research Strategy, ensuring that clients consistently receive best-in-class research and insight as the foundation for all search and advisory projects.

Frances graduated with a BSc in Economics and Business from Oxford Brookes University. She is based at our London Office.

Caitlin joined Stratum in 2023. She has five years of experience coordinating projects and campaigns connecting people and businesses. She is skilled in technical support, digital marketing, and design, and has previously worked in executive search, local government, EU-funded initiatives, and media production.

Caitlin is based out of Stratum’s HQ in London.

Zanele is a Data Administrator with a passion for data compliance. She plays a vital role in ensuring that the Company database is accurate, current and in line with GDPR and POPIA regulations.

Zanele holds a Psychological Counselling Degree and has a background in research, data capturing and arranging networking events in the mining industry, and this is how she became drawn to the mining sector.

She is meticulous by nature and uses this trait to guarantee that value is added to our Company database by ensuring that our data is constantly maintained. Her positive approach and attention to detail are valued attributes within the Cape Town Data team.

Nikita has worked in administration since 2016. As a Database Administrator she plays a key role in keeping our Company Database compliant and in line with GDPR and POPIA regulations.
She holds a BTech degree in Public Management and has worked in various industries such as Healthcare, Finance, and Transport.
Nikita’s calm and precise nature allows her to focus on the details. This trait is an asset to Stratum and especially the Data team.

Candice joined in 2023 and supports our UK and SA Team as Team Administrator. She has over 20 years of international professional experience in various fields and has always loved working with people. Prior to joining Stratum she ran the Cape Mining Club in Cape Team.
