In addition, mobilisation services which included travel arrangements and visa services were provided.

Gold Mine – Burkina Faso
Avocet Mining plc was a West African-focused gold mining and exploration company with its primary operations in Burkina Faso and Guinea. The company was listed on LSE and the Oslo Bors. 2009 saw the Company acquire Wega Mining and the Inata gold project in Burkina Faso. The Company poured its first gold later that year. Placed a Process Plant Project Consultant, Plant Commissioning Consultant, Process Plant Trainer, Maintenance Superintendent, and a Supervisor plus a HV Equipment Trainer, amongst other operational roles.
Aluminium Development – KSA
In 2005 the Saudi Government investigated diversifying from oil and gas and planned to develop a fully integrated aluminium complex in KSA which comprised of a 740 kt/a primary aluminium smelter a 4.25Mt/a bauxite mine, a 1.8Mt/a alumina refinery and a 0.38Mt/a rolling mill. To spearhead these projects, a VP Aluminium, Director, Site Development and Infrastructure Director, Site Development and Infrastructure, Project Control and Integration Director and Project Director – Smelter was recruited.

Dynatec Mining commenced the project’s development in 2006. Sherritt Int. bought the project in 2007, constructed the project, and is still the operator. Worked first with Dynatec in a project advisory capacity, then continued with Sherritt ramping up to a site visit in 2007, while recruiting the operational readiness team, which included HR, Finance, Supply teams and Mine Operations personnel.
